Verruckt: World's Tallest Waterslide WOW!

  •
Holmes & The FreakShow heard about this crazy tall water slide being built, we thought it was a joke at first...
  •
...but it's not a joke! This is Verrückt, designed & built at Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark, it breaks the record for the World’s Tallest Waterslide, a record which was held by Kilimanjaro at Aguas Quentes Country Club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil since 2002.
  •
View of Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark from the top of Verrückt, which combines a breathtaking drop with an uphill blast on a hill that’s over 50 feet high.
  •
View from the first drop. Four riders on a specially designed raft will plummet down the equivalent of a drop from a 17 story building
  •
There are 264 stairs to climb to ride Verruckt. The exact height will be announced at an official measuring event Spring of 2014.
  •
Side view of Verruckt from the Waterpark. Verrückt is German and translated means “insane" lol.
  •
Splash at end of Verruckt!. The tower of the ride is constructed from railroad tanker cars that have been cut & welded into a single vertical tower. The ride required advanced sensor and nozzle technology as well as a robust conveyor system never before built.
  •
Panoramic Photo of Verrückt! The build of Verrückt is the subject of a documentary being filmed by the Travel Channel.
